Vehicle Maintenance Analyst

About the role

The Vehicle Maintenance Analyst will support a U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia by overseeing maintenance and repair operations for a large fleet of military and civilian vehicles and equipment. Reporting to the Vehicle Maintenance Manager, the analyst ensures compliance with contract requirements, government regulations and military standards while maintaining asset readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Execute vehicle maintenance and recovery operations in line with contract, company policies and military standards.
• Manage documentation such as warranties, Lost/Theft/Damaged/Destroyed (LTDD) reports and Estimated Cost of Damage (ECOD) reports.
• Maintain accurate odometer readings and asset data in the computerized maintenance management system.
• Coordinate with managers, military personnel, suppliers and vendors to resolve warranty issues and schedule maintenance.
• Apply manufacturer and military level‑10, –20/–30 scheduled maintenance procedures.
• Track repairs, ensure proper recording and timely reporting.
• Develop and monitor budgets, burn rates, equipment usage and stock levels to maximize cost avoidance.
• Enforce health, safety and welfare standards, ensuring use of PPE and zero‑injury environment.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years (96 months) of experience in vehicle maintenance or fleet management, preferably in a military or government context.
• Senior‑level expertise with proven ability to manage large, diverse vehicle fleets.
• Strong knowledge of military maintenance standards and warranty processes.
• Demonstrated ability to produce accurate reports and maintain documentation.
• Commitment to occupational safety and health regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
