About the role

The WHE Certification Official ensures that operators of wheeled handling equipment meet safety and performance standards. This full‑time position is based in Kampala, Kamwokya and supports Amentum’s commitment to safety, quality and procedural compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and enforce a safety culture, completing training, self‑aid duties and participating in emergency response tasks.
• Apply Amentum’s Quality Policy by adhering to quality system documents and customer contracts.
• Implement operational, safety, quality and environmental procedures as defined in job plans and policies.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in equipment operation, training, certification or safety compliance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of wheeled handling equipment operations and safety practices.
• Ability to evaluate operator performance against certification standards.
• Proficiency in recordkeeping, documentation and basic computer applications.
• Valid passport (minimum 1 year validity) and ability to travel internationally.
• Pass contract medical requirements and maintain facility credentials.
