About the role
The Area Coordinator will lead a team of 6‑7 field staff who act as sales agents and loan officers. Reporting to the Director, the role is based in Mbale and focuses on achieving sales and repayment targets while fostering a culture of ownership and transparency.
Key responsibilities
- Coach and support a team of group coordinators, ensuring they meet sales, repayment and reporting targets.
- Analyze customer relations, travel to field sites regularly, and engage with clients to improve service.
- Manage the area office, including stock reconciliation, record keeping, expense oversight and process improvement.
Required profile
- At least three years of work experience, including one year of team management and two years as a loan or field officer in rural areas.
- Strong team player who leads by example, builds trust with clients and staff, and values ownership and accountability.
- Self‑driven, highly organized, able to work independently toward targets while upholding high ethics and integrity.
- Knowledge of local dialects is a strong advantage.
