About the role

Mississippi Christian University is seeking a full‑time Assistant Dean for Advancement for its School of Law. The role involves developing and executing a comprehensive advancement program, building relationships with donors, alumni, foundations, corporations and friends of the Law School, and ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage a personal portfolio of major‑gift prospects and collaborate with central advancement teams to align Law School priorities with university‑wide initiatives.
  • Lead a team responsible for annual giving, alumni relations, and communications/marketing to support the Law School’s fundraising goals.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or Juris Doctor preferred.
  • Minimum five years of progressively responsible development experience, preferably in higher education, with a proven record of securing gifts of $25,000 or more.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships with diverse constituencies.
