About the role
The Department of Agricultural & Biosystems Engineering at Makerere University is seeking an Assistant Technician to support laboratory and workshop activities. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in a vibrant academic environment, helping students develop practical skills.
Key responsibilities
- Clean and organize workplace equipment and facilities to maintain a safe and efficient environment.
- Implement safety guidelines and regulations, ensuring compliance with university standards.
- Assist academic staff in preparing and conducting student practical sessions.
- Maintain accurate records of materials and consumables used in the laboratory.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required profile
- Ordinary Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics Engineering.
- No prior work experience required.
