Audit Trainee – Entry Level Audit Position

About the role

An Audit Trainee supports the audit department in delivering internal and external audit engagements for a variety of clients. The role offers hands‑on experience in financial data analysis, compliance verification, and the identification of improvement opportunities within client financial systems. You will develop practical audit skills while gaining insight into financial reporting, risk management, and internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in audit planning, including risk assessments and strategy development.
• Execute tests of controls and substantive testing under senior supervision.
• Prepare and organize work papers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with firm standards.
• Analyze financial statements to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas of concern.
• Perform compliance checks against regulations, internal policies, and industry standards.
• Help draft audit reports and present findings to senior auditors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Actuarial Science, Engineering, IT or a related field.
• Pursuing or holding professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, CFA, CISA is an advantage.
• At least one year of work experience in auditing, accounting, finance or IT is desirable.
