Behavioral Health Coach – Telehealth (Uganda)

About the role

You will join Intellect’s telehealth platform as a Behavioral Health Coach, delivering 30‑minute video sessions that support clients’ mental health and personal growth. The role is freelance and fully remote, allowing you to set your own business hours while supplementing existing practice. You will work with a diverse client base across Uganda, delivering evidence‑based coaching that aligns with Intellect’s mission to expand mental health access.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1‑on‑1 telehealth coaching for sub‑clinical issues such as work stress, procrastination and work‑life balance.
• Help clients define personal, career or relationship goals and develop actionable plans.
• Collaborate with Intellect’s internal clinical team to suggest improvements to the program and platform.
• Maintain professional standards and documentation for each client session.

Required profile

• Active International Coaching Federation (ICF) certification or a Master/Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling.
• Minimum 200 coaching hours for ICF coaches or 300 clinical hours post‑graduation for counsellors.
• Proficiency in English and a local Ugandan language.
• Prior experience in Employee Assistance Programs, adult counselling or managerial coaching is preferred.
