Business Banker

About the role

The Business Banker will drive sales and service for SME customers, delivering tailored financial solutions that grow the bank’s portfolio. This role focuses on acquiring new clients, managing credit risk, and ensuring high‑quality customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Retain and expand a portfolio of SME customers by offering standard and customized banking products.
• Verify customer documents for account opening, loan facilities, and account amendments.
• Acquire new business relationships and meet portfolio growth targets.
• Manage credit and operational risk during account opening and loan processing.
• Participate in branch Credit Committee meetings, monitor pre‑NPL loans and recover funds.
• Develop and execute operational plans to support branch and bank strategies, focusing on fees, commissions, and interest income.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies or a related field from a recognized university.
• Minimum of two years’ sales experience in branch business banking.
• Good knowledge of business banking value propositions and risk management principles.
• Understanding of financial statements and strong numeracy skills.
