Business Development Manager – Africa

About the role

GenDx Biotech is expanding its advanced molecular Point‑of‑Care Testing (mPOCT) solutions across several African markets. We are looking for a results‑driven Business Development Manager to lead market development, build distributor networks, and promote our rapid pathogen‑detection systems.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and onboard new distributors in Rwanda, Ghana, Tanzania, Uganda, South Africa and Mauritius.
• Organise product demonstrations, workshops and training sessions for distributors, doctors, laboratories and clinics.
• Achieve sales targets by promoting mPOCT products to healthcare providers and ensuring product registration compliance.
• Maintain daily follow‑up with distributors and healthcare professionals, providing reports on market trends and sales performance.
• Prepare and submit regular sales and activity reports to senior management.

Required profile

• 1‑3+ years of experience as a Medical Representative in medical devices, preferably POCT or molecular diagnostics.
• Proven sales success in the African healthcare market.
• Strong knowledge of local distributors, healthcare professionals and IVD regulations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
• Fluent in English and willing to travel extensively across the region.
