Consultant for drafting and editing UNICEF 5‑Year CPD Report (Remote)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking an experienced consultant to lead the drafting and editing of the Five‑Year Country Programme Document (CPD) Report for Uganda covering 2021‑2025. The role is remote and supports high‑level advocacy by summarising five years of results, partnerships and transformative donor contributions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct a literature review of COAR reports (2021‑2025) and the CPD.
• Develop and gain consensus on the outline for the five‑year CPD report.
• Map cumulative results, partnerships and lessons learned.
• Draft the summative five‑year CPD report and incorporate feedback.
• Collaborate with internal graphic designer to produce the final published report.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in mass communication, English writing, journalism, development policy, international relations or a related field.
• Minimum five years of professional experience writing clear, focused documents; proof samples may be required.
• Prior experience editing and designing UNICEF Country Office reports is desirable.

Required skills

• Strong writing and documentation abilities.
• Experience with literature review and report synthesis.
• Ability to work closely with senior UNICEF staff and external stakeholders.
