Copywriter – Digital Campaigns & Brand Storytelling

About the role

We are looking for a creative Copywriter to join our on‑site team in Uganda. The role focuses on producing clear, engaging copy for digital campaigns, websites, social media and other brand communications, helping our clients tell compelling stories.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers, strategists and motion‑graphics teams to brainstorm and develop campaign concepts.
• Write, edit and refine copy for digital ads, landing pages, social posts, email newsletters and other brand assets.
• Adapt messaging to suit different platforms, audiences and cultural contexts while maintaining a consistent brand voice.
• Incorporate feedback from clients and internal stakeholders to improve content quality.
• Stay up‑to‑date with digital marketing trends, social media best practices and emerging storytelling formats.

Required profile

• Strong writing, editing and proofreading abilities for digital and social media content.
• Experience working in a fast‑paced agency or marketing environment, collaborating with designers, strategists and social media managers.
• Familiarity with digital marketing principles, social media trends and content best practices.
• Excellent command of written English and professional communication skills.
• Attention to detail, good time‑management and ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
• Comfort working on‑site in Uganda within a diverse, inclusive team.
• Relevant academic background in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Media Studies or related field is an advantage.
• Prior copywriting or content‑creation experience for agencies, brands or startups is highly beneficial.
