Country Director

About the role

Societyy Inc. is looking for a visionary Country Director to lead its operations in a given country. The role combines strategic oversight, program excellence, and strong stakeholder engagement to drive impact and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of the country strategy.
• Provide oversight for all programs, operations, and staff.
• Represent the organization with donors, government agencies, and partners.
• Ensure compliance with donor requirements and organizational policies.
• Oversee financial management and resource mobilization efforts.
• Drive organizational growth, sustainability, and impact.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships at national and international levels.
• Lead senior management teams and organizational decision‑making.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Development Studies, International Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 10+ years of leadership experience in the NGO or development sector.
• Proven experience managing large donor‑funded programs.
• Strong strategic planning and organizational leadership abilities.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
• Experience managing budgets and multidisciplinary teams.
