Country Director, Uganda

About the role

CBM is seeking a Country Director to lead its disability and inclusive development programme in Uganda. You will oversee a budget of USD 3–10 million, ensure high‑quality delivery, and strengthen CBM’s presence with donors, government and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver CBM’s Disability and Inclusive Development work across Uganda.
• Develop, implement and monitor the Country Plan in line with CBM’s Federation strategy.
• Maintain strong financial discipline, budgeting, reporting and grant compliance.
• Identify new programme opportunities that demonstrate CBM’s value and relevance.
• Promote CBM’s vision to external stakeholders and build strategic relationships.
• Represent CBM to partners, government agencies, donors, media and local communities.
• Recruit, develop and retain a high‑quality workforce.
• Carry out additional duties assigned by the Regional Hub Director.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role within an INGO or international development organisation.
• Proven experience in strategic planning and oversight of complex programmes.
• Strong background in organisational development, change management and capacity building.
• Extensive financial management expertise, including budgeting, financial controls and grant management.
