Credit Analyst – Finance

About the role

The Credit Analyst will support Diageo’s finance function in Kampala by providing insight into distributor trading, managing credit risk, and ensuring accurate rebate processing. You will work closely with commercial, logistics and finance teams to reconcile customer accounts and deliver data‑driven analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse distributor trading data and identify credit risks.
• Process rebates and ensure customer accounts are fully reconciled.
• Provide ad‑hoc data analytics to internal users.
• Liaise with sales, logistics, marketing and finance departments to coordinate trade‑investment activities.
• Maintain credit limits in SAP and monitor breaches, obtaining approvals where required.
• Manage bank guarantees, including renewal, custody and recall processes.
• Oversee order creation, credit and debit note management, and ensure compliance with CARM controls.
• Document OTC processes, maintain a customer complaint log and track issue resolution.

Required profile

• Mid‑level finance professional with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of credit management, trade finance and rebate processing.
• Ability to work collaboratively with commercial and operational teams.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to control environments.
