Digital Impact Manager – Fixed Term (P-4) – Kampala

About the role

As digital transformation and innovation become key accelerators of UNICEF’s Strategic Plan 2026‑2029, UNICEF Uganda is advancing the use of digital technologies, data and innovation to strengthen programme results and operational effectiveness. The Digital Impact Manager will provide enterprise‑wide leadership for UNICEF Uganda’s digital impact agenda, shaping strategy, governance and investment across programme and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Foster innovation and digital transformation, overseeing piloting, evidence generation and scaling of priority Digital Transformation/Digital Impact initiatives.
• Enhance ICT, Digital Transformation and Innovation governance, build internal and external relationships and increase capacity.
• Ensure excellence in ICT services and systems to create an enabling environment for organizational ICT service delivery.
• Improve delivery results across programmes and operations.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Software Engineering or related fields.
• Minimum eight years of relevant experience in ICT, digital impact project management, business operations, information security or large international organisations.
• Proven experience in team leadership, project management, business analytics, partnerships, information security, audit and risk management.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of another UN language or a local language is an asset.
