Enterprise Banker

About the role

The Enterprise Banker will drive business performance by acquiring new customers and expanding relationships with existing ones. You will act as a trusted advisor, linking clients to specialist support and ensuring the delivery of tailored banking solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide sales and service to Business Banking customers, targeting both new account openings and wallet‑share growth.
• Promote and explain bank products during campaigns, meeting and exceeding sales targets.
• Identify sales opportunities, cross‑sell products, and generate customer interest through face‑to‑face or telephone outreach.
• Initiate and manage client credit applications in line with Absa Africa SME lending guidelines.
• Conduct structured customer meetings with clear objectives and follow‑up plans.
• Maintain personal sales performance statistics for management reporting.
• Collaborate with branch staff to refer customers to the Enterprise Banker when appropriate.
• Complete account opening documentation, submit for review, and manage post‑opening communications.
• Perform financial analysis for loan proposals and communicate decisions or denials to clients.

Required profile

• Experience in business or enterprise banking with a strong sales orientation.
• Ability to meet and exceed defined sales targets.
• Knowledge of SME credit guidelines and loan assessment processes.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Proactive, results‑driven mindset with attention to detail.
