Female Security Guard

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Female Security Guard to ensure a safe and welcoming environment at our compound in Kampala. Working under the Compound Facility Manager, you will protect people, assets and maintain the premises to a high standard.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and protect the entire compound, including FCW property and occupants.
• Act as gatekeeper, allowing only approved persons through designated gates.
• Conduct hourly perimeter patrols to detect any breaches.
• Maintain the yard, garden, walkways, driveways and exterior buildings, keeping them clean and presentable.
• Assist with loading and unloading vehicles and support maintenance staff with outdoor tasks.
• Interact courteously with all occupants and report suspicious activity immediately.
• Account for issued equipment, maintain a logbook of activities and patrols.
• Perform any other reasonable tasks assigned by the Facility Manager or Country Director.

Required profile

• UCE certificate or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of relevant security or grounds‑maintenance experience.
• Ability to work a minimum of five days per week, including occasional weekends and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow FCW policies and procedures.
