French Teacher (Grades 7-8) for 2026-27

About the role

The French Teacher will deliver engaging learning activities for grades 7‑8, supporting students’ intellectual, emotional, physical and social growth. The role focuses on developing competencies that enable students to succeed in society and to become positive role models.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the district curriculum, incorporating accommodations for diverse learning styles.
• Assess student learning and adapt instructional strategies, including collaboration with special‑education teachers to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Utilize technology to enhance the teaching and learning process.
• Manage classroom environment and student behavior in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct.
• Communicate regularly with parents, principals and colleagues through conferences and professional correspondence.
• Supervise teacher aides and volunteers, and oversee extracurricular activities as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with appropriate endorsements for French and middle‑school level.
• Strong knowledge of the assigned subjects and general curriculum instruction.
• Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to instruct students and manage classroom behavior effectively.
