Human Resource Manager – Kampala

About the role

International Justice Mission (IJM) is seeking an experienced Human Resource Manager to lead HR functions for its Kampala office. The role combines strategic planning with day‑to‑day operational delivery, ensuring alignment with global standards and Ugandan labor law.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse workforce trends, HR metrics and organisational needs to guide strategic decisions.
• Develop and adapt HR policies, systems and processes that meet global standards and local regulations.
• Partner with senior leadership and line managers to drive employee engagement, performance and support throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Design and deliver training on HR policies, procedures and development programmes.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management and staff care to provide timely, effective HR services.

Required profile

• Proven ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong analytical and planning capabilities for assessing needs and prioritising initiatives.
• Excellent communication and training skills to convey policies and foster understanding.
