Human Resource Trainee – Full‑time, Kampala

About the role

TechBuzz Hub is looking for a motivated Human Resource Trainee to join its on‑site team in Kampala. This full‑time position is part of the GPAP (Graduate Professionals Apprenticeship Program) and offers hands‑on experience in HR while you earn.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate employee records and documentation.
• Assist with recruitment activities, including posting jobs and screening candidates.
• Conduct new‑employee orientations and support onboarding processes.
• Implement and monitor HR policies and procedures.
• Administer employee benefits and handle related inquiries.
• Support employee relations initiatives and resolve basic queries.
• Contribute to HR projects and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Background in a management‑related course (e.g., Business Administration, HR).
• Pursuing or completed studies in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Interest in enterprise development and technology innovation.
• Experience in a startup or innovative environment is a plus.

Required skills

• Understanding of basic HR management principles.
• Familiarity with employee benefits administration.
• Knowledge of recruitment processes and employee relations.
