Human Resource Trainee (Full‑time, Kampala)

About the role

Techbuzz Hub is looking for a motivated Human Resource Trainee to join its on‑site team in Kampala. This full‑time position offers hands‑on experience in HR management while you support day‑to‑day operations and learn the fundamentals of people management in a fast‑growing startup environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate employee records and HR files.
• Assist with recruitment activities, including posting jobs and screening candidates.
• Conduct new‑hire orientations and support onboarding processes.
• Implement HR policies and ensure compliance.
• Administer employee benefits and handle related inquiries.
• Support employee‑relations initiatives and resolve basic queries.
• Contribute to HR projects and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Background in a management‑related course (e.g., Business Administration, Human Resources).
• Pursuing or completed studies in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Interest in enterprise development and technology innovation.
• Experience in a startup or innovative environment is a plus.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HR management principles and policies.
• Understanding of employee benefits and personnel management.
• Familiarity with recruitment processes and employee‑relations basics.
