Human Resources Trainee (Full-time, Kampala)

About the role

TechBuzz Hub is looking for a motivated Human Resources Trainee to join its Graduate Professionals Apprenticeship Program (GPAP) in Kampala. This full‑time, on‑site position offers hands‑on experience in HR management while you earn and develop professional skills.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
• Assist with recruitment activities, including posting vacancies and screening candidates.
• Conduct new‑employee orientations and support onboarding processes.
• Implement and communicate HR policies and procedures.
• Administer employee benefits and handle related inquiries.
• Support employee relations initiatives and resolve routine queries.
• Contribute to HR projects and initiatives as required.

Required profile

• Background in a management, Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
• Pursuing or completed studies in HR, Business Administration, or a similar discipline.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Interest in enterprise development and technology innovation.
• Experience in a startup or innovative environment is a plus.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HR management principles and HR policies.
• Understanding of employee benefits and personnel management.
• Familiarity with recruitment processes and employee relations.
