Hydroblasting Technician

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Hydroblasting Technician to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing high‑pressure hydroblasting equipment to ensure safe and efficient surface cleaning.

Key responsibilities

• Operate hydroblasting equipment safely and in line with project specifications.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs to keep equipment reliable.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and fabricate replacement parts when needed.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, inspections, and parts.
• Complete required manufacturer or industry training and retain applicable certifications.
• Follow all safety procedures, manufacturer guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify potential equipment problems and implement solutions to minimize downtime.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of experience operating and maintaining high‑pressure hydroblasting equipment.
• Training or certification in hydroblasting equipment operation and maintenance.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently.
• Valid passport (minimum one‑year validity) and ability to obtain required visas.
• Ability to pass contract medical requirements.
