iHRIS Specialist – Uganda DART Project

About the role

The iHRIS Specialist will support Uganda’s Ministry of Health in strengthening the national iHRIS platform, ensuring it is usable, reliable, and ready for sustainable government ownership. Based in Kampala, the role involves close collaboration with health‑human‑resource teams, sub‑national users and technical partners.

Key responsibilities

• Improve iHRIS workflows and data quality to meet Ministry of Health requirements.
• Build operational capacity of MOH HRH teams, sub‑national users and system administrators.
• Address user needs and provide technical guidance for system enhancements.
• Prepare the iHRIS platform for a smooth hand‑over to government‑led operations.
• Coordinate with the Directorate of Health Informatics and other government units on system integration and governance.

Required profile

• Proven experience with iHRIS or similar health‑human‑resource information systems.
• Experience working with government health ministries or public sector partners.
• Ability to travel nationally and work onsite in Kampala.
• Current work authorization in Uganda.

• iHRIS configuration and administration.
• Health information system implementation.
• Data management and workflow design.
• System administration and basic cybersecurity awareness.
