Insurance Sales Agent

About the role

ICEA LION Group is seeking an on‑site Insurance Sales Agent in Uganda to drive growth by connecting customers with tailored insurance solutions. You will act as the primary point of contact, guiding clients through every step of the insurance journey.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prospect new clients through networking, referrals and outreach activities.
• Explain insurance products and services, assess client needs and recommend appropriate coverage.
• Prepare proposals, negotiate terms and close sales to meet defined targets.
• Provide ongoing customer service, manage policy renewals, amendments and coordinate claims processing.
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely application processing.
• Participate in marketing and outreach initiatives while adhering to regulatory and compliance standards.

Required profile

• Proven track record in insurance sales or related financial services.
• Strong ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
• Solid understanding of insurance products, including brokerage exposure.
• Excellent customer‑service mindset with active listening skills.
• Effective communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
• Basic proficiency with office software and accurate documentation practices.
• Relevant diploma or degree in business, finance, marketing or a related field preferred.
• Ethical work approach, regulatory compliance and adaptability in a fast‑paced environment.
