Integration & DevOps Engineer – Data-Activated Architecture (DART)

About the role

The Integration & DevOps Engineer will design, build, test, deploy and support secure, maintainable integrations for priority digital health systems of Uganda's Ministry of Health. Based in Kampala, the role works closely with government technical teams to ensure reliable data exchange and system performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement integration solutions between MOH digital health platforms.
• Develop, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines for development, staging, and production environments.
• Ensure standards‑based data exchange and robust system monitoring.
• Support secure deployment and operation of integrations.
• Collaborate with the Directorate of Health Informatics and local technical teams for operational handover.
• Travel nationally and regionally as required to support implementation.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in integration and DevOps engineering.
• Familiarity with digital health systems and government‑run IT environments.
• Current work authorization for Uganda.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• CI/CD pipeline development and management.
• System monitoring and performance tuning.
• Standards‑based data exchange (e.g., HL7, FHIR).
