International Operations Manager (P-4)

About the role

The International Operations Manager (IOM) supports the delivery of the UNFPA country programme, leading strategic planning for operations, setting management targets and overseeing outsourced services across finance, procurement, IT, travel, logistics and common services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning for UNFPA operations and define management targets.
• Oversee a broad portfolio that includes financial management, procurement, information technology, travel, logistics and common services.
• Partner with regional experts on safety, security and human resources to implement the Business Operations Strategy.
• Coordinate with other UN agencies, funds and programmes to ensure effective collaboration.
• Advise the Representative on compliance, cost‑effectiveness and creative responses to emerging challenges.

Required profile

• Minimum of 84 months (7 years) of experience in international operations, procurement, logistics or related fields.
• Proven ability to lead strategic planning and manage outsourced services.
• Familiarity with UN systems and the ability to advise senior management on compliance and cost‑effectiveness.
