Laborer – Customer Service & General Support

About the role

The Laborer will support the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) program, providing friendly customer service and assisting with setup, maintenance, and breakdown of facilities. The role is based in Kampala and requires adherence to safety standards and professional appearance.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver courteous, attentive service to patrons, wearing the required uniform and name tag.
• Assist with the setup, maintenance, and breakdown of MWR facilities and equipment.
• Keep workspaces clean, organized, and compliant with operational standards.
• Handle and store hazardous materials in line with CNICINST 1710.3 regulations.
• Maintain current CPR certification and apply lifesaving techniques when needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of customer‑facing experience in recreation, hospitality or a similar setting.
• Fluent verbal and written English.
• Enthusiastic, responsive and service‑oriented attitude.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain it shortly after hiring.
