About the role
The Lead Interventionist serves as the primary on‑site resource for SIPPS and Sound Partners literacy programs at Heritage Elementary. Working under the Principal, this role bridges district‑level coaching and classroom implementation to ensure high‑quality, structured literacy interventions.
Key responsibilities
- Act as first point of contact for tutors and teachers with instructional or logistical questions.
- Teach, observe, and monitor SIPPS and Sound Partners lessons to ensure fidelity.
- Provide coaching, encouragement, and corrective feedback under guidance of Certified SIPPS Coaches.
- Assist in creating and updating intervention schedules and student groupings based on assessment data.
- Manage, track, and replenish program materials at the school level.
- Model lesson delivery and facilitate brief, school‑based professional‑development sessions.
- Identify implementation issues, develop solutions, and escalate complex concerns to district coaches.
- Participate in district PLCs, share school‑level data, and complete required Canvas training modules.
Required profile
- Experience delivering SIPPS and Sound Partners interventions in a school setting.
- Ability to coach teachers and tutors, providing constructive feedback.
- Strong organizational skills for scheduling, grouping, and material management.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with district coaches and school staff.
