About the role
The Logistics Officer/Driver provides safe, reliable, and efficient transportation services for Evidence Action personnel, materials and goods, supporting the organization’s operations across Uganda. The role involves driving, vehicle maintenance, record‑keeping and occasional administrative support.
Key responsibilities
- Drive Evidence Action vehicles to transport authorized passengers, luggage and other items, ensuring safety, punctuality and a comfortable journey.
- Maintain accurate records of trip schedules, daily mileage, fuel consumption and vehicle condition, and submit reports to management as required.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and preventive maintenance, including checks of fluid levels, tire pressure, brakes, oil, cooling system and overall cleanliness.
- Deliver and collect documents, packages and supplies to and from field offices, up‑country locations and other destinations, ensuring secure and timely transfer.
Required profile
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to follow safety regulations, organizational policies and security guidance.
- Strong attention to detail for record‑keeping, fuel receipt verification and vehicle log maintenance.
