Loss Prevention Officer

About the role

The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for safeguarding the property, guests and employees by monitoring security systems, conducting patrols and responding to incidents. This full‑time, onsite position ensures a safe environment and helps prevent loss through proactive measures.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and assist guests with room access.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarm, duress alarms and fire‑life‑safety systems.
• Lock property entrances when required and conduct daily hazard inspections.
• Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR, and contact emergency services.
• Defuse disturbances, escort unwelcome persons and report incidents.
• Complete incident reports, shift summaries and maintain confidentiality of all security documents.
• Conduct investigations, gather evidence and interview relevant parties.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and move quickly when needed.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lb unassisted and heavier items with assistance.
• Clear communication skills and professional appearance.
• Willingness to follow company policies, safety procedures and maintain confidentiality.
