Middle School Teacher (Grades 5–8) – 2026–2027

About the role

The Main Street Academy is seeking a dedicated Middle School Teacher for the 2026–2027 academic year. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality instruction to grades 5‑8, fostering academic growth and mastery of the Georgia Performance Standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide developmentally appropriate, content‑aligned instruction using the school’s curriculum.
• Integrate appropriate technology into daily lessons.
• Maintain a positive, academically rich classroom environment.
• Assess student performance using performance‑based methods.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents/guardians, and school leadership.
• Support home‑school collaboration through conferences, calls, and written correspondence.
• Implement SPED, SST, 504, and IEP accommodations as required.
• Prepare instructional plans for continuity during absences.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and comply with all county, state, and federal policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university.
• Eligibility to hold a Georgia teaching certificate in the applicable field.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Organizational ability and initiative to work independently.
