About the role
The Second Deputy Vice Chancellor will report directly to the Vice Chancellor and support the overall strategic and operational management of Makerere University. This senior leadership position is responsible for overseeing financial and administrative functions, as well as driving the university’s planning and development initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Vice Chancellor in the performance of his/her functions.
- Oversee the finances and administration of the University.
- Lead the planning and development agenda of the University.
- Perform other duties delegated by the Vice Chancellor or assigned by the University Council.
Required profile
- Relevant academic qualifications.
- Proven experience in higher‑education leadership and management.
- Demonstrated leadership, managerial and administrative capabilities.
- High personal integrity and ethical standards.
