Motor Vehicle Mechanic – Field Service

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Motor Vehicle Mechanic to join our team in Kampala. The role involves maintaining the reliability and safety of our fleet through routine inspections, overhauls, and on‑site service at remote locations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on vehicles and equipment.
• Perform overhauls of engines, transmissions, and final drives.
• Provide field service support at remote sites under challenging conditions.
• Maintain accurate service logs and update machine history records.
• Ensure all repairs comply with safety standards and regulations.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory during field assignments.
• Provide technical feedback to sales and product development teams.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of hands‑on experience in vehicle or heavy‑equipment maintenance.
• Ability to work independently in remote or off‑site environments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Good record‑keeping and communication skills.
