Nursery Teacher (Full-time, On-site)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Nursery Teacher to join Harrina Junior School in Mityana District, Uganda. This full-time, on-site position involves creating a nurturing and engaging environment for young learners, supporting their academic and personal development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons using creative and interactive teaching methods.
• Engage and motivate children, fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
• Track and document each student’s progress and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure classroom discipline and safety.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, school leadership, and parents to support children’s development.

Required profile

• Proficiency in lesson planning and teaching techniques for early childhood learners.
• Strong foundation in early childhood education and training.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Patience, creativity, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for working with children.
• Relevant certifications in Early Childhood Education or Teaching; prior nursery teaching experience is an advantage.
• Ability to adapt to a multicultural environment and fluency in English (additional languages a plus).
