Officer - Multimedia Promotion & Marketing

About the role

The Uganda Communications Commission is looking for an Officer to lead the promotion and marketing of Ugandan audio‑visual content. The role will support public engagement, industry events and digital campaigns that strengthen the local creative sector.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement campaigns that showcase Ugandan multimedia and audio‑visual productions across broadcast, digital and social platforms.
• Coordinate promotion activities for the Uganda Film Festival, regional film festivals, exhibitions and screenings.
• Engage broadcasters, producers, content creators, distributors and sponsors to build strategic partnerships.
• Manage social‑media channels and digital marketing initiatives, monitor performance and prepare analytical reports.
• Conduct market research, gather industry intelligence and support sponsorship and collaboration agreements.
• Maintain stakeholder and event databases, prepare promotional briefs and departmental updates, and assist with work‑plan and budget preparation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Marketing, Media Studies, Journalism, Public Relations, Film & Television Production or a related field.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in content promotion, marketing, media, communications, public relations or related creative industries.
• Professional training in Digital Marketing, Branding, Communications, Social Media, Event Management, Marketing Analytics or Content Marketing is an advantage.
