Outlet Manager – Food & Beverage

About the role

The Outlet Manager oversees the daily operations of restaurants, bars and room service at Marriott International in Kampala. Responsibilities include supervising staff, assisting with menu planning, maintaining sanitation standards and supporting servers and hosts during peak periods. The role focuses on improving guest and employee satisfaction while maximizing financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day restaurant, bar and room‑service operations, ensuring service and sanitation standards are met.
• Manage staffing levels, schedule employees and step in to perform duties when needed.
• Lead the food‑and‑beverage team by coaching, mentoring and fostering a collaborative environment.
• Ensure compliance with all food‑handling, sanitation and liquor laws through training and hands‑on management.
• Handle guest feedback, resolve complaints and drive continuous improvement in service quality.
• Oversee financial aspects such as purchasing, invoice payment and cost control.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of food‑and‑beverage experience, or a 2‑year degree in a related field with 2 years of experience.
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams, maintain high service standards and achieve financial targets.
