Packaging Process Artisan

About the role

The Packaging Process Artisan is responsible for maintaining, repairing and optimizing packaging equipment to ensure continuous plant availability and product quality while keeping costs low. The role involves hands‑on work on machines, documentation, and continuous improvement of processes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and optimize plant and associated devices.
• Locate plant, equipment, spares and relevant documentation.
• Carry out routine and major maintenance tasks.
• Operate packaging machines, monitor process parameters and ensure consistent product quality.
• Perform start‑up and shutdown procedures safely.
• Identify potential problems through regular walk‑abouts and maintenance schedules.
• Document maintenance actions and maintain a safe working environment.
• Apply VPO principles, 5S methodology and uphold standards at the workstation.

Required profile

• Minimum Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 2–3 months of on‑the‑job training (ideally 3–6 months).
• 1 to 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Required skills

• Electrical engineering knowledge.
• Packaging machine operation.
• Preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Troubleshooting of industrial equipment.
• Familiarity with 5S methodology.
• Understanding of VPO (Value Process Optimization) principles.
