Place Manager – Food & Beverage Operations

About the role

The Place Manager will lead food, beverage, entertainment and recreation services at Jake's Place, ensuring compliance with mission requirements and government standards. This senior‑level position requires strong operational leadership, budget oversight and a focus on delivering excellent customer experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily food and beverage services, ensuring compliance with mission requirements and government standards.
• Oversee entertainment and recreational activities, coordinating events and customer experiences.
• Develop, implement and continuously improve operational policies, procedures and best practices.
• Control operational budgets, monitor costs and achieve financial performance targets while maintaining service quality.
• Lead and supervise staff, schedule shifts, and ensure adherence to safety, sanitation and food handling standards.

Required profile

• Four‑year degree in business management, hospitality, food services or related field, or at least three years of relevant experience.
• Minimum five years of middle‑manager experience in a civilian commercial food, beverage or entertainment operation.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational abilities.
• Valid passport (minimum one‑year validity) and ability to obtain necessary visas and clearances.
• Proficiency in English (reading, speaking and comprehension).
• Ability to complete required training and certifications (CPR, First Aid, Food Safety, Alcohol Server Intervention, etc.) and pass contract medical requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Point‑of‑Sale (POS) systems.
• Experience using inventory management software.
• Ability to generate and analyse financial reports.
