About the role
The Administration Department of Manafwa District Service Commission is looking for a qualified Procurement Officer (U4 grade) to lead and support the district’s procurement activities. Reporting to the Senior Procurement Officer and supervising an Assistant Procurement Officer, the role ensures that procurement processes are transparent, efficient and compliant with public service regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Compile schedules of procurement requirements for the district.
- Guide and advise suppliers on correct procurement procedures.
- Reference, verify and manage procurement documentation.
- Liaise with accounts to facilitate timely payment to suppliers.
- Verify and organize documentation related to procurement for interested parties.
- Prepare draft bid documents and the overall procurement plan.
- Enter sanctioned transactions into the procurement system for further processing.
- Advise end‑users on the development of procurement specifications.
