Product Manager - Security (Ubuntu Pro Services)

About the role

The Product Manager – Security for Ubuntu Pro Services will own the end‑to‑end product lifecycle, shaping priorities and goals while working closely with cross‑functional teams. You will drive market research, gather customer insights and translate them into a compelling product vision that aligns with Canonical’s open‑source strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the product development lifecycle, reviewing priorities and goals for the security offering.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing and sales to ensure cohesive execution.
• Conduct market research, analyse industry trends and gather customer feedback to identify new opportunities.
• Communicate product vision, status updates and key decisions to keep stakeholders aligned.
• Oversee usability testing, analyse user feedback and iterate to improve the user experience.
• Partner with marketing, sales and support to develop go‑to‑market strategies, create documentation and provide training.

Required profile

• Exceptional academic results at high school and university.
• Strong understanding of Linux, the open‑source community and computer architecture.
• Passion for writing about technologies and continuous learning.
• Outstanding communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to four times a year.
