About the role
The Program Associate supports Ipas’s mission to improve sexual and reproductive health and rights in Uganda. Reporting to the Senior Health Systems Advisor, the role provides day‑to‑day coordination of project activities, budget tracking, and contract management across multiple donor‑funded initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and monitor activity budgets for Uganda projects, ensuring alignment with donor requirements.
- Manage contracts and implementation plans, coordinating with consultants and partners.
- Organise meetings, prepare documentation, and disseminate program materials.
- Support the design and delivery of training, awareness workshops, and community‑engagement activities for adolescents, women’s groups, and schools.
- Assist in establishing links with institutions and interest groups to promote reproductive‑health knowledge and services.
Required profile
- Mid‑level experience (minimum 2 years) in program coordination, budgeting, and contract management.
- Demonstrated ability to work with NGOs, government agencies, and community organisations.
- Strong organisational and communication skills, with a focus on reproductive‑health outcomes.
