Programs Officer – Community Development

About the role

Societyy Inc. is seeking a dedicated Programs Officer to lead the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of community development projects. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to ensure program activities align with organizational goals and donor expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate day‑to‑day program implementation activities.
• Develop work plans and monitor project progress against milestones.
• Conduct field visits and engage with beneficiaries and partners.
• Prepare comprehensive project reports and documentation.
• Assist with budgeting, resource allocation, and financial tracking.
• Support beneficiary identification and outreach initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Project Management, or a related field.
• Experience in project or program management, preferably in community development.
• Strong report‑writing and communication abilities.
• Ability to work with diverse communities and stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational and problem‑solving skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
