Project Assistant - Central (Several vacancies)

About the role

Raising The Village is seeking motivated Project Assistants to support implementation of poverty‑reduction programmes across central districts of Uganda. You will work directly with partner villages, facilitating trainings and ensuring project activities are delivered on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project design review meetings with partner villages and provide feedback for design and budget updates.
• Coordinate and co‑facilitate trainings on financial literacy, health‑sanitation, agriculture, livestock care, and community savings groups.
• Apply RTV’s project methodologies to increase household income and reduce extreme poverty.
• Prepare and submit procurement lists; verify goods and inputs before distribution.
• Conduct regular follow‑up visits, offering guidance to community groups and households to ensure compliance.
• Identify risks, propose mitigation measures, and recommend improvements.
• Organise performance and perception meetings with community leaders and RTV staff.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in project implementation or community development.
• Mid‑level qualification (e.g., diploma or degree related to development, social work, or similar).
• Fluency in Luganda; additional languages such as Runyankore, Rukiga, Kinyarwanda, or Lhukonzo are a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 80 % of the time across Nakaseke, Rakai, Mityana, and Mubende districts.
