Project Assistant – Community Development (Multiple Locations)

About the role

Raising The Village is seeking motivated Project Assistants to support community‑based projects across several districts in Uganda. You will work directly with partner villages, facilitating trainings and ensuring project activities are delivered on time and to standard.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in project design review meetings, provide feedback, and help update budgets.
• Co‑facilitate trainings on financial literacy, health‑sanitation, agriculture, livestock management, and savings groups.
• Implement project methodologies aimed at increasing household income and reducing extreme poverty.
• Prepare procurement lists, verify goods before distribution, and support logistics.
• Conduct field follow‑up, monitor compliance, and identify risks with mitigation recommendations.
• Maintain weekly work plans and field reports for donor reporting and proposal writing.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in community development or project implementation.
• Willingness to travel up to 80 % across Mbale, Bukedea, Ngora, Kaliro, Luuka, Bugiri, and Kapchorwa.
• Fluency in local languages (e.g., Lugisu/Lumasaba, Ateso, Lusoga, Luganda, Kupsabiny) and basic English.
• Ability to work collaboratively with partners, community members, and internal teams.
