Project Coordinator – Sudan Witness (Contractor)

About the role

The Centre for Information Resilience (CIR) is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the Sudan Witness initiative. Working alongside the Project Director and Project Manager, you will help manage administrative tasks, keep the project on schedule, and ensure compliance with donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in developing project plans, defining deliverables, and refining quality‑assurance procedures.
• Track project progress, flag issues early, and support rapid escalation when needed.
• Collect monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) data, manage surveys, and monitor output delivery.
• Maintain the project calendar, organise team meetings and travel logistics.
• Prepare spending reports, budget forecasts and assist with risk identification and mitigation.
• Facilitate onboarding processes, including reference checks, contract and grant administration, and distribution of templates.
• Support grant management for external civil‑society partners, schedule progress meetings and track grant outputs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project coordination, grant management or similar administrative roles.
• Familiarity with donor compliance and reporting requirements.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
