Project Manager – Child Protection & GBV in Emergencies

About the role

Plan International is seeking a Project Manager to lead integrated Child Protection in Emergencies (CPiE) and Gender‑Based Violence in Emergencies (GBViE) activities. Based in Nakivale, the role will provide strategic and technical leadership to ensure project objectives, timelines, budgets and donor requirements are met.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and implement CPiE and GBViE activities across project locations.
• Lead the project team, translating objectives into detailed implementation plans and measurable deliverables.
• Oversee resources, budgets and financial reporting to ensure compliance with donor requirements.
• Identify, assess and manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation measures.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, partners and local authorities to ensure effective collaboration.
• Monitor quality, track progress and produce timely reports for internal and external audiences.

Required profile

• Based in Nakivale, Uganda, with a commitment to children’s rights and gender equality.
• Reports to the Director of Programme Implementation, Humanitarian Preparedness & Response.
• Contract duration of 10 months, subject to funding confirmation.
