About the role
The Protection Officer will lead the delivery of protection activities within the assigned settlement, ensuring that protection is integrated into the cash‑plus model and that vulnerable individuals receive safe, confidential, survivor‑centered case management.
Key responsibilities
- Lead protection monitoring, identify protection concerns and facilitate referrals to appropriate services.
- Conduct integrated protection screening, targeting and cash‑protection integration for households and individuals.
- Oversee protection case management, including GBV, child protection and other high‑risk cases, ensuring data is recorded in case management systems.
- Support community‑based protection structures, conduct risk assessments, safety audits and capacity‑building activities.
- Maintain relationships with displaced persons, host communities, consortium partners and local authorities to ensure accountable, locally‑led delivery.
- Document case studies, best practices and lessons learned to contribute to the project’s learning agenda.
