Security Officer

About the role

The Security Officer will ensure the safety and security of the manufacturing facility, its assets, employees, and visitors by managing access control, conducting patrols, and responding to incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Control entry and exit, verify IDs, issue visitor passes, and maintain visitor and vehicle registers.
• Conduct regular patrols, inspect facilities, secure gates and restricted areas, and report suspicious activity.
• Protect assets by monitoring movement of goods and verifying gate passes.
• Respond to emergencies, prepare incident reports, and escalate serious incidents.
• Monitor CCTV, alarms and other security equipment, reporting any faults.
• Support health, safety, and compliance policies, participate in drills, and report hazards.
• Maintain occurrence books, patrol logs and incident reports.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external parties such as police and emergency agencies.

Required profile

• UCE required; UACE, Certificate or Diploma in Security Management, Criminology or related field is an advantage.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial, commercial or corporate security, preferably with CCTV/access control in a manufacturing environment.
