Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician

About the role

Technology Masters Limited is hiring a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician in Kampala (Kamwokya). The technician diagnoses faults, repairs and maintains refrigeration and cooling equipment such as refrigerators and air conditioners, while following safety rules and keeping accurate records.

Key responsibilities

• Detect faults in refrigerators, air conditioners and other cooling equipment and carry out repairs, servicing and preventive maintenance.
• Install, replace and repair components such as compressors, thermostats, fans and motors; handle refrigerant, detect leaks and recharge systems safely.
• Test equipment after repairs and recommend corrective measures for potential failures.
• Follow health and safety rules, wear PPE, handle refrigerants and electrical parts safely, and report hazards and accidents immediately.
• Use, maintain and account for tools and equipment, and identify spare parts needed before work begins.
• Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance, prepare service reports, job cards and work orders, and use digital tools to track progress.
• Work with colleagues, explain faults and recommendations to customers, and meet quality standards.
• Complete tasks on time, work flexible hours including overtime, travel to client sites, take part in training and follow instructions.

Required profile

• Entry-level position; about 12 months of experience.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, overtime and travel to client locations.
